|
|
Hi,
I compile my sound driver in the kernel and when I want to listen to music through my headphones, my pc speaker keep playing music, even if my headphones are pluged in.
Did I make something wrong ? Do I need to disable some things to make it work ? How can I solve this ?
Thank you. |

I was more successful using media-sound/alsa-driver-1.0.15 (could be unstable on your arch) with the on board sound of the Intel DG965WH mainboard instead of the in-kernel drivers. Be sure to follow this guide: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml (see especially section “Using the ALSA Driver package”).

I did followed this guide, and I already tried with alsa-driver and my kernel driver, same problem.
I tried for both of the driver to specify in my /etc/modules.d/alsa and /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base (I thought first i needed to put that in alsa-base but in fact it's the same thing): Code: | options snd-hda-intel model=... |
And no result. I got all the time in my dmesg this:
Code: | hda_codec: Unknown model for ALC660VD/ALC861VD, trying auto-probe from BIOS... |
Nothing's working as it should (sound in headphone but not in pc speaker).
My laptop is an Asus V1S by the way. |
