Emerging multiple packages at once...

So, I'm impatient while waiting for emerge kde again and am thinking about doing an emerge mrtg while I wait -- is there any problem with emerging two things at once?

The consensus seems to be rarely if ever will it cause problems... see https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=538. I was emerging on four sessions last night without any problems (except for some slowdown).
