Hi guys. I'm a linux newbie so, be gentle.
I was following along with the howto http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_ipw3945 to set up wireless on my nc8430
all seemed to go well, but upon reboot I'm greeted with a kernel panic around the time udev loads the device.
The only information I can glean from it is that it references ipw3945_eeprom_init and hangs as udev hits it so..that's how i figure it's the driver.
I have no idea what logs would show what comes before this mishmash of hex or what you guys would need to see to know more. I can get into the system files using a livecd and will happily post what I can get from the system if anyone is willing to help. |
