HP Laserjet 3500

I have the hplip drivers installed and the printer is recognized when I plug it in, but when I try to print anything, I see this error message in the printer properties:

[comprookie2000]

Go to /etc/cups/cupsd.conf amd change;
LogLevel info to
LogLevel debug
then go to http://localhost:631
and stop all jobs
restart cups
/etc/init.d/cupsd restart
try to print a test page
then tail /var/log/cups/error_log
and see if you see anything interesting
