The link is correct, but when i mount /dev/hda1 /boot it says fs ext3 not supported by kernel. |

I think you must also have left ext3 support out of your kernel which you'll need if using a ext3 boot partition. You can get into /boot by booting from the livecd mounting the drives: boot, root and proc, entering the chroot and recompilnig a kernel with all the things you need and installing it.

yep, opne step ahead of you, booted from livecd and copied the kernel over to /boot, reboot and what do you know, eth0 works! yay! thanks to everyone for the help, i really appreciate it. |
