|
|
Hi,
I can only use the latest hard masked nvidia-drivers-169.07 for my card.
I seem to have a accelerated fan speed, this is all very good keeping my graphics card down to a nice temp but i don't feel it is wright
is there a way of adjusting it to a default fan speed with these beta drivers? |

try nvclock -f -F 60
Not all cards support the auto function, also make sure your using the cvs ebuild for nvclock as thats the only way to get support for newer nvidia cards. _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved.

rename an existing nvclock ebuild with the new version "nvclock-0.8_beta3"
don't forget to digest it
that is the only ver. that works properly with the newer cards _________________ Core i7 920 D0 | Asus P6T DLX | Patriot Viper 1600 6GB | Antec Quattro 850W

I had the same problem, the reason for the failure is that just a single letter is wrong in Makefile.in
this patch fixes the problem:
http://jge.se/nvclock-DESTDIR.patch
put it in your files dir and add this line to the ebuild right below the "use qt3"-line at the end of src_unpack():
Code: | # Patch for a broken Makefile in src
epatch "${FILESDIR}"/nvclock-DESTDIR.patch |

I must be doing somthing wrong it failed again
I copy the ebuild hirakendu and save it as nvclock-0.8_beta3.ebuild put it in /usr/portage/media-video/nvclock
Then ebuild /usr/portage/media-video/nvclock digest
But i still got the build error
Same thing with the patch Schwenne |

Bin package works well i just extracted it and used the gtk-gui to adjust the fan speeds
The cvs i tried to build gave me build errors so i think i will just stick with the gtk-gui from your bin pkg ,many thanks hirakendu for making the bin pkg
And every 1 else |
