Coolone, What you have posted is an information message, not an error message. I did not see any errors (EE) in the log you posted. So, the basic problem is that you cannot startx.
When you boot, what happens?
What windows manager do you use?
What is on the console when x does not start?
I assume that when x does not start, you are at a text mode console login screen.
If so, if you log in as root, can you 'startx'?
post cat /etc/rc.conf ->my file has #XSESSION="Gnome" but note it is commented out.
post cat /etc/conf.d/xdm -> my file has CHECKVT=7 and DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm" as I use kde

That should start us.

mjf55
thanks a lot

here's the error output:

cat /var/x11/xorg.0.log | grep EE

(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
(II) Loading extension MIT-SCREEN-SAVER

I use FLuxbox, if i start fluxbox, the screen stop on black screen.
if i change to root, the screen flash to console

So your error is that you are having segfaults (segmentation faults ) in scim-panel-gtk. I am not exactly sure what scim is but you should check to see if it is installed, app-i18n/scim and re-emerge it. If the problem still exists, try searching with google ( there several links to segfaults in scim). If still no answer, update the subject to the real problem and perhaps someone can assist. Let us know what happens. Good Luck.
