I use 2.6.23-tuxonice-r6 as kernel on a amd64 machine.
Hibernating to swap as with hibernate works just fine, except for that I have to supply --force because of a failure to correctly treat my nvidia module. This is not the problem, though, with --force, it works just fine.
Hibernating to ram as with hibernate-ram does not work, however, as the script alleges that no suitable kernel methods were found. My amd64 notebook, on the other hand, does not complain with the exactly same settings.
I'd be grateful for any ideas as to why only the hibernate-ram script choses not to do what it is supposed to.
Thank you very much. |
