Hi there,
i'm trying to install the latest getntoo release, but i have network related problems...
i put the cd in, at the boot prompt i do: gentoo dopcmcia (as i am on a laptop with network card), and gentoo starts ok...
i can ping, use lynx to browse the web etc etc, so i continue with the install.
however when i reach the chroot step, the netowork goes down and i can't emerge sync or anything.
can anyone help out?
my network card uses the 3c59x module, and works with RH9, which is what i am using right now....but i'd rather run gentoo.
i hope someone can help out...
cheers,
paul. |

Can you ping in the chroot? If so, then check that you've copied over your resolv.conf.
If not, can you run an ifconfig and post the results (x out your IP addresses!). _________________ wibble |
