Hi there,
I am trying to install some programs, like Blender and totem, for example,
but emerge is insisting on installing some things that i know i dont need. for example, kde files, and gtk1 - when these programs don't use these libs.
i have set -qt -kde in my USE settings, but i can't get it to stop needing these files.
can anyone help out? |

If you "know" you dont need them then check the ebuild for this and edit it so that it no longer looks at these as dependencies.

Are you completely sure that your programs don't need those files to get compiled? If that's true, you should fill a bug report... perhaps https://bugs.gentoo.org |
