i have searched the forum, but have yet to find an answer to my problem that i am having with dvd::rip. ok, here goes:
everything seems to start fine. the program can access my dvd drive and all that, but after over an hours worth of working, a box comes up and says:
An internal exception was thrown!
The error message was:
Can't read VOB navigation file '/home/akhkharu/dvdrip/RurouniKenshinOAVdisc2/tmp/RurouniKenshinOAVdisc2-001-nav.log' at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Video/DVDRip/GUI/Project/TitleTab.pm line 690
does anyone have any ideas of what may causing this, or how to fix this problem?
it appears that there does not exist a file called ~./dvdrip/RurouniKenshinOAVdisc2/tmp/RurouniKenshinOAVdisc2-001-nav.log
i'm not sure what is going wrong, since everything up to this point seems to have flowed nicely.
any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Uh, no, sorry. I just wanted to mention that dvd::rip worked fine for me under Debian, but it doesn't work so hot under Gentoo. It seems to rip the VOB files fine, but when I go to transcode, it says the files must be transcoded first. Catch-22. Anyway, maybe I'll re emerge transcode and dvdrip and try again. I really only used it to backup my son's dvd's (5 year olds are kinda hard on disks), so right now it's not a pressing issue. |
