Es soll ein release candidate möglicherweise schon im Februar rauskommen. Ums kurz zu machen - ich hab das hier entdeckt:

GCC 4.3 hat viele interessante Aspekte. Es wird auch interessant zu sehen, ob es das eine oder andere Programm gibt, das spürbar von der MPFR-Lib profitiert.
Wo der parallel mode der libstdc++ ganz genau ansetzt ist mir noch nicht klar. Wird ein Programm, das eigentlich nur mit einem Thread läuft, durch ein Übersetzen im parallel mode innerhalb der Aufrufe in std dann doch parallel? |

ja, openmp ist so effektiv, das der overhead beim erzeugen der threads minimal ist :
wird sich zeigen ob der geschwindigkeitsvorteil ersichtlich ist, denn ich denke das
die "threadgrösse" bei std::sort oder so eher minimal ist ...
das programm erzeugt dann eben bei jedem solchem aufrufe mehere threads, nicht wie bei
konventionellen threads, wo das ganze programm in wenigen grossen threads läuft
