I got this exact same error quite a while ago when I tried to get dri working on an 8mb rage xl in my server (just for kicks). I never did figure out what the deal was. I find it very humorous that the error implied 2<1, though. heh. Maybe I'll mess around with it again soon and see if I can figure it out. _________________ “Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”

u know i am running the exact same card as u and on a server too
moar research shows there was a memory leak in the previous mach64 DRM modules
im thinking this might have something to do with it (the dev disabling DRM) there is an update (on cvs)
i might install it
i wouldnt run a Xserver with a memory leak in the modules on a server (even tough it is just a vserver box) i wish to have hardware acceleration but if the leak is still there ill move to vesa for security is of the up most importance
but ill keep this thread up incase i gets er it |
