Log Boot up Process

I was wondering if anybody knew how to capture logs of bootup process on a Gentoo System

are you looking to log the contents of dmesg or something else, more complex?

Thanks for the replies ... all of the init scripts that run on my gentoo box ... would just like something to log all of them.

Does RC_BOOTLOG="yes" in /etc/conf.d/rc suit your purposes?

yup that's it. remember to emerge app-admin/showconsole.

May I add that showconsole does not work together with framebuffer/fbcondecor ...
