psempertegui,
Welcome to Gentoo.
The DVD contains more packages that you can elect to install at install time.
They both give you a basic Gentoo system with additions that you choose.
If you have never used or looked after Gentoo before, I recommend the minimal CD.
Its more work for you and your CPU but you get to make your mistakes before you add you data, which in the long term, makes for a more satisfying user experience. _________________ Regards,

I had problems with the LiveCD during the install, which led to multiple "install failed" errors, so I downloaded the LiveDVD and everything worked great. I have no idea why. Also, the LiveDVD comes with many packages, like Enlightenment, KDE and Gnome, something the LiveCD does not. |
