I already read http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_Setup_Your_FQDN but it just does not work for me.
I just cannot set the dommainname correctly. 
/etc/conf.d/net:

You don't have a problem with your domain... but your method of checking domain is not correct.
Use hostname -d or dnsdomainname to look at DNS domain, not domainname (that one shows NIS domain, which hardly anybody uses anymore). |

I don't know if it's your problem, but usually you don't have two of the same IP (127.0.0.1), and I would also try removing your actual hostnames off of the loopback IP. Here is my hosts file, and my fqdn works fine (I had to fix it for sending email, yay)

Deleting the duplicate line with 127.0.0.1 fixed it!
