Hi.

I'm having a slight problem with a printer, it is setup using cups.
But I do now have to send a job to this printer.
(btw. I have a absolut minimum conf, for cups)
and I do not know how to do this.
the device is. socket://xx.x.xx.xxx (numbers ofcourse)
how can I do this.
I need to print this job kind of fast.

Greetings Denmark.

I do not really care whether I have to give some command from the console or using the browser to get a file printed but that would be kinda nice...
I will try this.
Thanks.
Another problem is with a single printer that wont print, it has been standing still for some months (could that be a problem.)
I would like to get it working again.

What make & model is it? is it networked/usb/paralel/serial?
Are you able to get config pages printed out by the device itself?

Make sure you have the necessary prereqs on your system:
parallel printers need parallel port support in the kernel
same goes for usb and serial.
