hello
i have problems with my laptop the screen that is used by gentoo is to big so i can see only a protion of the screen is there a way to fix this problem?

It's a matter of virtual desktop...
Can you post your XF86Config here so we can check it out?
It's in your screen resolution section that the problem is...
btw, search the forum, this issue as already being solved |

I am having a similar problem with screen resolution. I want to edit the XF86Config file but I don't know where it is and when I try creating a config file using XFree86 -config it gives me an error: XFree86: command not found.
Any help? Thanks |

it may not be in your PATH variable. try Code: | /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 -configure |

i already solved it my self i experimented with the various install kernels. had to take a 800 kernel
