Hey Guys,

Im running a software RAID 1 setup on my box at the moment. This is not mirroring my system, but mirroring two drives at /dev/sdb & /dev/sdc.

I want to completely reinstall Gentoo on /dev/sda but I dont want to disrupt my raid setup.

Is this possible? Or am I likely to run into issues?

should be fine as long as you remember to add md+raid support back into the kernel and add your mounts to fstab at the end of the install... people do it all the time to preserve their /home partition...

cheers
