I get the following errors when I try to boot into gentoo:
Code: | VFS: Cannot open root device "hdb3" or 03:43
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:43 |
Working fine for over 6 months... I had a power outage this morning before this happened. I know the hd is plugged in because I have access to one of my partitions from within windows. Any ideas? _________________ hardcore |

Use the Gentoo CD as a rescue disk. Check:
1. See if you can mount /dev/db3
2. Rewrite the lilo/grub MBR is case it is corrupted.
3. Check the partition table.
4. Run fsck. _________________ The true guru is a teacher.
