Pardon my ignorance, but I'm having a bit of an annoyance with logwatch.
I've got it set up and sending me e-mails nightly which is fantastic. Unfortunately, I tend to get a lot of spam under the "Connections (secure log)" category, specifically pertaining to imap:
Code: |
--------------------- Connections (secure-log) Begin ------------------------
**Unmatched Entries**
imap[12319]: NTLM server step 1: 1 Time(s)
imap[12319]: NTLM server step 2: 1 Time(s)
imap[12319]: calculating NT response: 1 Time(s)
imap[12319]: client flags: ffff8207: 1 Time(s)
imap[12319]: client user: tara: 1 Time(s)
// ... ad nauseum ...

I've googled around, and apparently suggestions ranging from setting Services = -imapd in my /etc/logwatch/logwatch.conf doesn't work. Is there anyway to muffle these seemingly harmless, yet truly annoying messages?
Your help is most definitely appreciated.
Thanks! |
