KWhat,
It works. dmraid is a 3rd party kernel module and thus cannot be built into the kernel.
If you want your root to be on a dmraid volume, you must use and initrd as thats the only way to load the module before you mount your real_root.
If root is not on the dmraid volume, there is no issue as the dmraid partition can be mounted later in the startup sequence.
The only reason to use dmraid at all is because the raid set must be shared with Windows. _________________ Regards,
