hi guys,every time when i am installing gentoo this section become problem :/etc/conf.d/net.Now i need to know how /etc/conf.d/net supose to look i am using pppoe this is all i know about,i found some thing but in tha manuall says about dhcp what this dhcp does,do i need this if i am useing pppoe.please help i am in this now :(

Hello,
sorry, I did not understand what is your problem exactly.
Can you install properly the system, but you cannot configure your system to access the web/LAN correctly?
Or do you have connection with the install cd, but emerge fails because something is wrong with your connection?
Or you cannot connect to the internet at all?

Are you using a modem, router...?

hi OnlyTux,my problem is that i don't know how to configure

If your computer is connected to a router that is setup with the PPPoE information, then you don't need to configure it into /etc/conf.d/net. Instead, you will simply use the method built in to your router (or possibly even DSL modem), which in many cases in DHCP. Please provide a little more information about your setup (what DSL modem, are you using a router, et cetera).
