kernel problem

nach dem kombilieren des kernel bei einer neuinstallation findet er beim booten den kernel nicht
wenn ich im prompt eingebe root=/dev/hda3
bringt er die fehlermeldung could :oops:

not find kernel
jemand ne idee

lilo hab ich installiert und fstab und lilo.conf bearbeitet
ohne root=/dev/hda3 führt der pc sofort einen reset durch

Poste mal den Inhalt deiner lilo.conf, und den Inhalt deiner /etc/fstab.

nur lilo.conf anpassen reicht nicht, du mußt danach immer /sbin/lilo ausführen (schreibt die neue Konfiguration in den MBR).

also dir fstab sieht genau so aus wie
dev/hda1 /boot ext2 noauto,noatime 1 2
/dev/hda3 / ext2 noatime 0 1
/dev/hda2 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

die lilo
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=50
lba32
default=linux

image=/boot/bzImage
label=gentoo
read-only
root=/dev/hda3

mit/sbin/lilo gehts auch nicht ich vermute das ein link zum kernel fehlt

habe mich in der obigen lilo.conf verschrieben
default=gentoo
heist es bei mir :cry:
