When I emerge links I get the following message:
Code: | * You had the svga USE flag enabled, but for security reasons
* the links2 binary is NOT setuid by default. In order to
* enable links2 to work in SVGA, please change the permissions
* of /usr/bin/links2 to enable suid. |
How do I change the permissions to enable suid? |

Code: | chmod u+s /usr/bin/links2 |
But I'd rather use the framebuffer and emerge links like this:
Code: | USE="-svga fbcon" emerge links" |
Then you can use it with the framebuffer device, which is more secure than using it with svgalib and setuid. |

What insecurity does suid introduce? _________________ >>> Also, customizing emacs can be an exercise in black magic.

Yes, black magic doesn't use parentheses.
