Trying to emerge gnome-base/gnome-session-2.22.0 from the gnome overlay

No package 'gnome-settings-daemon' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GNOME_SESSION_CFLAGS
and GNOME_SESSION_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

| Same problem for gnome-base/control-center. They are the only packages for which the update to Gnome 2.22 fails. |

Try to merge gnome-settings-daemon and later gnome-session. I had similiar problem with gnome-panel - the solution is to merge libgweather first.
