|
|
Hi!!!
I've downloaded a theme from http://www.themes.org (6nome), and I installed it...
This theme has Metacity, GTK1 and GTK2 themes in it.
Unfortunately, the theme doesn't seems to display well on GTK2 apps. The controls displayed are those from the standard Gnome2 theme.
I think it has something to do with the gtk-engines, but I've installed all of them, and still it doesn't works.
I'm having the same problem with some other themes downloaded from http://art.gnome.org
I'm lost here! Does someone had the same problem and had successful results? |

This is because tons of themes use proprietary engines.
Unfortunately, half the fucking time they don't say where to get the engine.
Pretty useless. |

Try emergeing "gnome-themes" and "gnome-themes-extras" to get more engines installed, but usually, those proprietary engines are included in the theme package. Just unpack the package and do a "./configure --prefix=/usr" and "make && make install" to install the engine and theme. |
