I periodically get this error in my syslog:
nss_ldap: could not search LDAP server - Server is unavailable
It's usually coupled with another error such as an authorization failed, or lookup from automount or anything else that tries to use the nss.
I'm using nss_ldap-259 connecting to an openldap server which is part of Open Directory on OS X Leopard.
The thing is, it works in general, but I get one such error every 10-15 minutes or so, between about 20-30 machines on the network. Has anyone else seen this? |
