Hi,
I have an a8n-vm csm mobo and I just got a tv-out bracket for it. I always used this computer with my LCD monitor but now I want to play some video on my tv. My currento Xorg.conf works for my LCD and I would like to change it to work with the tv.

I found a wiki (not a forum where I could ask the author) that he added TVOutFormat "COMPOSITE" under his Device section. And this did the trick.
The problem here is that I have 2 device secxtions:
"Standard VGA" and "NVIDIA".

Wich one do I use?

Is this everything? Just add one line?

Thank you all for reading this.

nvidia, but you should be able to pretty much strip your xorg.conf's video section, set the driver to nvidia, neglect to hook up the LCD... then start X.

X should start on the tv with nvidia set to 1024x768, which is good enough for tv use.

cheers

Hi! Thanks for the reply! Well, I just did it and it works! But the image is not as sharp as I would like it to be. Do I need to change my "screen" session to something that has my tv specs? Thank you for your suggestion!

probably not... if you're using a CRT tv with low DPI you won't be able to get it any clearer... :?

would you mind posting your xorg.conf so I can compare to mine? I've managed to get some tv-out output but it's too distorted.
