|
|
Every time I start KDE3 or KDE4 as any user, I get a message that DBUS is not running.
/etc/init.d/dbus restart shows that everything starts ok, but another KDE restart again gives that message. And KDE apps can't talk to DBUS and cry about that.
Reemerging dbus didn't help.
Could anyone help? |

"lsmod" if your drivers are modules and not built into your kernel _________________ -Mario |

Anyway, USB is working, I can use my USB flash drive. And everything worked before I messed with KDE4. So I assume it shouldn't be because of USB drivers |

I've seem to have the same issue on a Acer Laptop and a 64-bits installation running KDE 3.5.8. Everything seems to be running fine, but it is that annoying message, but dbus is running, so is hald. |

Darius, did you solve your problem? I tried to retreat to openSUSE, but it sucks. Now it seems my only option is to reinstall Gentoo from scratch... Should I say I don't want to do it?
Please, help me to solve this D-BUS issue! |
