My USB mouse went kaput and I got a free PS/2 mouse, but I tried changing the X conf to point to /dev/psaux with the PS/2 driver and it didn't work.
dmesg says "PNP: PS/2 appears to have AUX port disabled, if this is incorrect please boot with i8042.nopnp"
Wha?
"cat /dev/psaux" and "cat /dev/misc/psaux" show no sign of connectivity.
Where does the i8042.nopnp option go? |

Yeah, it turns out I didn't have to change a damn thing, but it only worked after full system reboot. |
