I'm looking to install gentoo on my laptop with a 2200BG wireless chipset. I need this to be working in the livecd environment to fetch the packages I will need. I remember that there is an ebuild for it, but I can't find out specifically which files I will need (crucial to the ebuild and it's deps) so that I won't have to fetch any to get it working on the livecd.
I've got the ipw2200 firmware 3.0, but that's all I could see to download. Are there any others?

i'm using the x86 2007.0 livedvd. I'm not sure if it's any different a kernel than the current one, but I didn't see network-manager in gnome, there wasn't an /etc/init.d/net.eth1 (eth0 is wired), and net-setup did not recognize my wireless hardware.
Am I missing something simple?
