Did anyone else have major trouble trying to get pppoa working under gentoo because of the assumption you use pppoe.
To add to the problem i have the Conexant accessrunner pci modem with drivers last updated 2 years ago that are designed for gcc compilers < 3. I had to use the insmod -f prefix and ignore the warnings.
Surely there must be easier ways of dealing with this - the insmod -f sure is ugly and scary |

Did you ever get the PPPoA working? I have a BeWAN PCI ADSL card and need PPPoA and everything assumes PPPoE. I think I will have to install from source but I thought I might try my hand at an ebuild for it once I had it working properly. I need the PPPoA plugin for PPP which doesn't seem to be in portage though... |
