Look at the errors:
open /dev/fb0: No such file or directory
/sbin/splash: line 1: cut: command not found
/sbin/splash: line 1: cut: command not found
/sbin/bootanim: line 1: nice: command not found
How to resolve it? _________________ http://www.mafteah.co.il |

Wierd errors!
Might as well start from scratch.
What do you have in your /etc/runlevels/default/ ?
Can you start all the programs in there without problems?
What about /etc/conf.d/local.start ?
Anything different in there? Can you start all those programs/scripts without errors?
/sbin/splash sounds like some sort of splash screen. Possibly grub. Do you see /sbin/splash in your /boot/grub/grub.lst (grub.conf) file?
/dev/fb0? Have you recompiled your kernel recently? Changed /etc/modules.autoload?
Basically what I'm trying to find out is what's changed? Has the system worked without these errors before?
