I have a problem with vtext.com rejecting e-mails from my domain as of last week - Verizon is useless in trying to resolve the issue. We have a system that sends out critical e-mail notifications to people's cell phones (some of them are Verizon based) so I'm considering setting out our own e-mail to SMS gateway. Can somebody point me in the right direction? What application should I use and what are the requirements? I'm assuming a couple of modems and POTS lines are in order - correct?
Thank you! |

Some 8 years ago I used a piece of software called Kannel for that purpose. I don't know if it is still supported, then it worked mostly fine. I used a wireless module from Siemens. The model name was, as far as I remember, TC45. It seems they are still in the business: https://pia.khe.siemens.com/index_products_systems-14200.htm. Hope this helps you get started. |
