Hi,
I got a problem there's 2-3 days with my GTK 2.x, I have recompile some parts of my system and now it works.
It has recompiled Xfree too.
It solves my GTK 2.x problem but another problem comes.
I've recreate a configuration file with xf86config, edit it to enable xtt, freetype, ZAxisMapping.
This worked fine but ... there was no OpenGL support.
So I take the NVIDIA_kernel drivers, recompiled them, loaded them, edited the XF86Config file to enable glx and change driver "nv" to driver "nvidia".
And when I loaded X it says... no screen found.
I tried to recreate the configuration file with xf86config, tweak it again, try to see if there isn't any typo.
I saw a commented DRI section in my configuration file, that looks weird because I don't remember to have any DRI drivers section in my old configuration file.
There was nothing wrong in my XF86Config file, because when I loaded "nv" drivers, it worked.
I checked my Xfree86.0.log and I saw that :
http://thetemplar.free.fr/XFree86.0.log.old
Xfree seems to not found any driver and load every driver it has builtin and fails...
So I gone back to "nv" driver and it worked again with this log :
http://thetemplar.free.fr/XFree86.0.log
I've compiled glx and kernel drivers, the driver is in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so
I can load it with modprobe without any problem (except tainting).
So I have a few questions :
1) Why DRI is there ?
2) Why Xfree can't load the driver ?
3) I can't found the others modules like nv_drv or ati_drv ? Why is it built in ? The power of Xfree wasn't the modularity ?
4) Is there a way to tell Xfree to load a particular module ?
5) Must I try to recompile X (for the first time I got AA fonts on Mozilla, I must rebuild everything ) ?
6) Will I recover my OpenGL one day ?
Here is my Xfree86 Configuration file :

I saw there was a bug report which seems like my problem :

Thank you... _________________ ... |
