|
|
Hi,
I'm looking to install the bare minimum for a server, because the PC we're installing it onto is crap at best (AMD-300 or thereabouts!). My plan was to install apache2 and use webmin for the configuration side of things, as I doubt KDE would run too well! When I've checked the dependencies for apache I noticed that XFree-4.3.0-r2 is listed so my question is - Is this really necessary for a bare bones system?
Thanks |

do you have "-X" in your USE variable in /etc/make.conf?
If not, emerge may want to install an optional GUI for apache or something it depends on. Are you trying to emerge anythign else at the same time? _________________ http://ckdake.com/ |
