I cant start tux racer, brand new 1.1a installation, seemed to work before i believe error from terminal reads....
"tuxracer error: Couldnt initialize video: X11 driver not configured with openGL (Success)"
where am i going wrong here? |

I just saw a possible fix for this problem in the mailing lists...
You might try re-emerging libSDL to the latest version as there was a problem with it and opengl. It didn't matter whether you used the opengl in you make.conf or not.
Once that is reinstalled then try to re-emerge tuxracer and with luck it will start working.
On a side note... anyone using KDE and having a problem with arts and no sound in tuxracer can try the following to run tuxracer:
This will allow the sound to be played directly from arts and not require any outside sound daemons.
