Hi, I tried running an emerge -u world today, and when it got to xfree-4.3.0-r3 it crapped out on trying to add the Xfree-synaptics-fixup-0.11.3.diff patch. Here's what XFree86-synaptics-fixup-0.11.3.diff-1663.out looks like:

Code:

***** XFree86-synaptics-fixup-0.11.3.diff *****

===============================================

PATCH COMMAND:  patch  -p0 < /usr/portage/distfiles/XFree86-synaptics-fixup-0.11.3.diff

===============================================

Hunk #1 FAILED at 1.

PATCH COMMAND:  patch  -p1 < /usr/portage/distfiles/XFree86-synaptics-fixup-0.11.3.diff

===============================================

Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?

I don't even have a synaptics touchpad. How can I tell it not to use this patch? I tried USE="-synaptics", but that doesn't seem to exist 8)

Any hints?

(p.s. I just got into screen. It's really useful and all, but how can I scroll up when text has filled the screen? Shift+PgUp doesn't go anywhere :?:)

Thanks! :)
