Hello,
I've just setup a small ras server (mgetty + pppd). Everything works fine, but I have a question :) Is it possible to execute a script each time someone tries to start a connection using the modem ? possibly with the caller phone number if available.

I tried to add AT#CID=1 to the modem initialization string but I can't see IDs in the mgetty logs...

thanks

giuliano

i don't have pppd installed currently, but i believe there is a option to execute something in the event of a successful connection. so better search there, not on mgetty.

thanks for the tip, but I'd like to log all the attempts made to login to the system (and possibly all incoming connections even if no data is sent). I'll look for pppd anyway :)
