I just can't find any support on google for this problem. As soon as you mention yenta_socket your search is just taken in a whole new direction so I'm turning to you guys :D

I'm trying to get my linksys usb200m fast ethernet converter to work with gentoo. The asix module is supposed to work for this but it hasn't helped both compiled as a module and into the kernel. The next place I could turn to was pcmcia-cs, so I emerged that.

Then I try to start it and get this:
Code:

Master linux # /etc/init.d/pcmcia start
 * 'modprobe yenta_socket' failed
 * Trying alternative PCIC driver: i82365
 * Starting pcmcia ...
cardmgr[3674]: no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices
 * cardmgr failed to start.  Make sure that you have PCMCIA
 * modules built or support compiled into the kernel                      [ !! ]
Master linux #

I've got no idea how to fix this.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
