Hi guys. My gentoo box runs at the moment kde 3.5 and kdm. I usually login with my main user in kdm and use kde.
Now I want another user (named music) which will only load amarok at login. When he closes amarok he should logout. He should not have any possibility to switch to an "real" kde desktop.
My first try was just typing amarok in his .xinitrc and run startx (for testing). But then there was no window design and amarok was not in fullscreen mode. Does I need a lightwight windowmanager in the background? Or any ideas how to do that? I maybe just need a few keywords should be enough.
Thanks in advance _________________ Don't wonder about the name, it's pronounced german |

If you don't need a background, you can just put this in your .xinitrc:
That will close X after you close amarok.
If you want kde to manage your desktop (and background), add 'kdesktop &' above the line with kwin. _________________ Gnome:
