Hi, I have started a large emerge via an ssh session on my box and want to background the task so that it continues to run after I exit my ssh terminal session...
I didn't use NOHUP
so how can I background it and unhook it from the shell session I am in now?

Terminate it and restart the emerge with "--resume"?
Next time use app-misc/screen |
