All,

I tried to emerge whois today and got this error mesage:
Code:

Mosix5 root # emerge -uD world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 21) net-misc/whois-4.6.6 to /
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: line 50: V: command not found

!!! ERROR: net-misc/whois-4.6.6 failed.
!!! Function , Line 1057, Exitcode 127
!!! error sourcing ebuild

I searched through the forums and haven't seen this one. Am I the only one with this? I you have a clue, please let me know.
Thanks!

Charles

It says that it doesn't find the ebuild so
Code:
# emerge rsync
and hope it'll get it. If not, download the source code and DIY (do it yourself).

Deathwing00,

I tried to do
Code:
emerge rsync

before but it lead me to the same result. Before doing it the first time, I did
Code:
emerge sync

which should be the same isn't it?
Thanks!

Charles
