hi

since upgrading from kernel 2.4.20 to 2.4.21 my usb keyboard has stopped working. I used the same config file as I did for 2.4.20. dmesg|grep usb gives this:
Code:
usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs

host/uhci.c: USB UHCI at I/O 0xc400, IRQ 19

hub.c: new USB device 00:07.2-2, assigned address 5
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=5 (error=-110)

Can anyone help with those errors?

thank you

tigger,

Generally you can't reuse old config files with new kernels. The closest you get is to use make oldconfig, then you will be asked for only the config itesm that have been added (or dropped).

Try it with your kernel and see what happens. If you don't get any questions you config is valid.

Thanks NeddySeagoon. I tried the "make oldconfig" and answered a few questions (none applied to my setup), and I rebuilt the kernel but I still have the same problem, the USB errors and my mouse and keyboard are not recognised.
