hi
since upgrading from kernel 2.4.20 to 2.4.21 my usb keyboard has stopped working. I used the same config file as I did for 2.4.20. dmesg|grep usb gives this: Code: | usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs

tigger,
Generally you can't reuse old config files with new kernels. The closest you get is to use make oldconfig, then you will be asked for only the config itesm that have been added (or dropped).
Try it with your kernel and see what happens. If you don't get any questions you config is valid.

Thanks NeddySeagoon. I tried the "make oldconfig" and answered a few questions (none applied to my setup), and I rebuilt the kernel but I still have the same problem, the USB errors and my mouse and keyboard are not recognised. |

I have this problem too, a few weeks ago my root partition got corrupt and I only got round to doing a reistall a few days ago and I can no longer get USB to work. _________________ "Madness is something rare in individuals - but in groups, parties, peoples, ages it is the rule." -- Nietzsche |
