hi everybody,
I have a weird problem when I try to configure the kernel for an old alpha (digital personal workstation 500au)...
If I execute 'make menuconfig'
I don't get to see the

I have tried to download various kernel sources but they all seem to be missing this option...
I really need the driver because my scsi is an qlogic isp1020 and I already had a

when I tried to build the kernel without....
Am I missing something ?

If I type / in menuconfig and search for QLOGIC I get PTI Qlogic, ISP Driver as first hit. It is located in SCSI low-level drives and depends on SBUS && SCSI. So you have to enable SBUS (whatever it is) and SCSI to see this driver.

Edit: Sorry, I was too fast. Search with Google for "qla1280 1020". It seems like the qla1280 driver supports the 1020 also. On the low-level driver list this is "Qlogic QLA 1240/1x80/1x160 SCSI support". |
