|
|
Hi
I'm trying to configure my soundcard:
Code: | 04:01.0 Audio device: VIA Technologies, Inc. VIA High Definition Audio Controller (rev 10) |
As this guide says, I enabled the necessary kernel modules.
Code: | <M> VIA 82C686A/B, 8233/8235 AC97 Controller |
Then, I installed alsa-utils and I restarted my computer. So I tried to configure the soundcard with alsaconf, but it doesn't work, alsaconf says that there aren't not supported PCI/PnP sound cards on the system.
I was looking for other option in the kernel, but that above is the only one where "VIA" appears. Of course I tried it as a root.
What can I do?
Thanks! _________________ SomGNU |

Hi,
I think you will also have to enable the Intel HD Audio driver in your kernel config, as this driver is used by most
of the soundcards that are actually out there.
If this doesn't help please post your kernel-version and which mainboard you are using.
