Status of xorg-x11 7.3 ?

The last release of X.Org was 7.3, on September 6, 2007 (add to portage on September 9, 2007). Xorg 7.4 is schedule to be release soon in May. However xorg-7.3 is still in ~x86. I can't find a tracking bug on itin Bugzilla, nor anything in the forums or bugzilla that may hint as to why (other than unexpected behavior when used the HAL use flag). Is there something wrong with it? It is going to be skipped for Xorg 7.4 ?

They (the gentoo devs) were probably waiting on xorg-server 1.4.1, which is supposed to correct a lot of little problems with 1.4.0 (and which 1.4.0.90 is a pre-release of), however upstream seem to have abandoned 1.4.1 in order to get 1.5 finished relatively soon...

That makes sense, I know Xorg 7.4 was delayed, this would explain a lot. It'll be out soon enough, so I'll just stick with 7.2 for now, and wait for 7.4 to be added to portage and stabilize.
