Well I'm doing the Power Management Guide on my laptop and on the first testing it barffs on me. It does switch to the battery run level but then acpid exits.. I've Googled & search Gentoo but haven't found something to get me headed in the right direction. Set up is per the Guide & here's the output. Code: | Apr 14 00:38:52 NB acpid: starting up
Apr 14 00:38:52 NB acpid: 3 rules loaded
Apr 14 00:38:59 NB acpid: received event "ac_adapter AC 00000001 00000000"
Apr 14 00:38:59 NB acpid: executing action "/etc/acpi/default.sh ac_adapter AC 00000001 00000000"
Apr 14 00:38:59 NB logger: ACPI event unhandled: ac_adapter AC 00000001 00000000
Apr 14 00:38:59 NB acpid: action exited with status 0
Apr 14 00:38:59 NB acpid: executing action "/etc/acpi/actions/pmg_switch_runlevel.sh ac_adapter AC 00000001 00000000"
Apr 14 00:38:59 NB logger: Switching to battery runlevel
Apr 14 00:39:00 NB ACPI: count given by _CST is not valid
Apr 14 00:39:05 NB acpid: action exited with status 0
Apr 14 00:39:05 NB acpid: exiting |

Thanks for the link ... it is one I looked at and it gave me a headache
Tried following the link to www.acpi.info but the site isn't being found at the moment. Was hoping for a little more insight on the error before hammering the rust off my brain & working through the HowTo.
I do have Code: | ACPI: DSDT 3DEE6F0E, 3FB6 (r1 INTEL MONTARAG 6040000 MSFT 100000E) |
Oh well, it can't be any worse than eating my veggies
Thanks |
