Mplayer Alsa Integration Broken

After upgrading my alsa libraries and mplayer I am getting these error messages when working iwth Mplayer. I Though aplay works successfully.
alsa 1.0.16
Any ideas you guys?

Hm. Disabling dmix inside of mplayer yet leaving it in asoundrc seems to fix the issue. I'll investigate more in the morning.
